Point Pleasant Borough Fire Company #2, also designated Ocean County Station 41 is located in the town of Point Pleasant, New Jersey. We are an all volunteer fire dept who respond to approximately 300 to 350 calls a year. Our main coverage area is about 3 1/2 square miles, not including mutual aid responses.
There are two departments in the Borough of Point Pleasant. Point Pleasant Fire Co #1, Station 40 and Point Pleasant Fire Co #2 Station 41. Both company's jointly respond to all calls within the Borough and surrounding towns. The two companies also operate a joint Water Rescue Unit, Dive Team, Rapid Intervention Team, De-con Unit for Berkley HAZMAT and assist the Point Boro EMS, Ocean County Squad 35, with Extrication services.
Point Pleasant is a resort community in which the population can more than triple in a three month period in the summer. Point Pleasant is a surrounded by water on three sides. The Barnegat Bay, Manasquan River and Beaver Dam Creek. On the east side of town we border the Borough of Point Pleasant Beach which sits on the Atlantic Ocean.
Our fleet includes three Engines: 4161, 4151 and 4171, one Rescue Truck 4187, one Chiefs' vehicle 4100, and one Support pickup truck 4157. Also, a 15' zodiac RHIB and rescue kayak 4196 and 4196 A are available for water rescue incidents.
Our membership is comprised of about 36 active members. We also have an active fire explorer post which has 11 members.
